When we using stainless steel wire mesh as filter material, the min diameter of the granules that the mesh can filter out is the accuracy of the stainless steel wire mesh.
Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Filters
For square hole woven wire mesh, the filter accuracy normally to be the mesh size of the mesh, and the actual mesh size will affect the accuracy filtration efficiency directedly.
But for the Dutch woven wire mesh, the situation will be different. There are two ways to describe the filter accuracy of the Dutch woven mesh. The nominal accuracy and the actual accuracy.
The nominal accuracy refers to the incircle diameter of the triangle shape in the intersecting surface of the mesh, which is formed by the two-weft wire and one wrap wire.
The actual filter accuracy refers to the accuracy which the mesh in use, when the using conditions changed, the filter accuracy can be different. The actual filter accuracy can be affected by the temperature, pressure, working time, viscosity, mesh bending, or folding. So the actual accuracy is of data may change.
The nominal accuracy is the structure data of the mesh, so it is a fixed data for a specific mesh.
